GENERAL NOTE.
Music to meditate, to feed the imagination, to increase concentration, to promote relaxation or the awakening of the soul.
Music to tell a story, to read a poem, to draw inspiration, to write a tale, to act on a stage, to venture into the realm of fantasy, crossing unknown and secret gardens without moving from the sofa.
Music conceived in imitation of nature: like a river, always equal to itself but always changing, on whose banks to lie down without expecting anything.
Music that creates dreamlike and hypnotic atmospheres, for multimedia artworks, ambient backgrounds, audio/video/light installations in public or private places.

CONCEPT OF »COURTYARD GARDEN«.
Geometric regularity that defies the imagination, the courtyard garden is largely made of concrete. Poor in greenery and flowers, the flowerbeds in fake stone. The thread-like tree trunks seek the light beyond the roofs, which are under surveillance by the porter. It is the theater of first steps and first loves; the permitted area, beyond which it is forbidden to enter: too many dangers in the middle of traffic…
It is the garden of the kidults, who take refuge there, intimidated by what can happen beyond those protective walls, to play (condominium rules permitting), leaving out the din of the traffic of life. »He who is content with the least is the richest of all«, they think; and so they refrain from going too far. Or from leaving forever...

AGNESE M. GARUFI

Born in Catania on 14th January 1986. She is a saxophonist, saxophone teacher and music therapist. She graduated in March 2012 with full marks at the SANTA CECILIA CONSERVATORY in ROME in the class of M° ENZO FILIPPETTI. She studied at the HOCHSCHULE FÜR MUSIK in BERLIN with M° DETLEF BENSMANN between 2011 and 2012. She has also attended numerous masterclasses with world-renowned saxophonists. From 2007 to 2009 she collaborated with the ERSU YOUTH ORCHESTRA of CATANIA, with the NEW SAXOPHONE ORCHESTRA and with the FREE SOUND quartet of clarinets and percussion; she has been a member of numerous chamber ensembles. From 2009 to January 2013 she was part as first tenor sax of the ORCHESTRA DEL 41° PARALLELO / ORCHESTRA OF THE 41ST PARALLEL in ROME, with which she played in numerous theaters in ROME and in other Italian cities, including the AUDITORIUM SANTA CECILIA in ROME, the TEATRO DELLA FORTUNA / THEATER OF FORTUNA in FANO, the former CASINO of TRENTO, the AUDITORIUM MASSIMO in ROME and the JAZZ FESTIVAL in ACUTO. She is currently part of the KIND OF SAXY saxophone quartet and the modern and contemporary chamber music duo FRAGDUO, with pianist FRANCESCA CHIOFALO, who have performed in ITALY in theaters, concert halls and historic buildings.

Manuel Chieregato is a composer born in Bolzano on Monday, the 5th June 1978. First he privately studied violin and then piano and composition at the Conservatory of Bolzano.
Engaged in musical composition since the early 1990s, from 2017 to 2020 he composed and published some hundred hours of music as part of »Gardens«, a multimedia project aimed at every artist and scientist, inspired by »Di che giardino sei? Conoscersi attraverso un simbolo / What's Your Garden? Self-knowledge through a Symbol«, a 2000 book by Duccio Demetrio:

Much of his musical repertoire is still unpublished.
He collaborates with Italian artists - such as Vittorio Gazzera (video artist), Nadia Prousch (recorder player), Mara Palumbo (organist), Angelo Turchi and Agnese M. Garufi (saxophonists), Guido Picariello and Francesca Chiofalo (pianists) and Elisabetta Tagliati (soprano) - and with other artists from around the world. Born in MORGES (Switzerland) on 8th September 1961, mosaicist. She studied at the ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS in RAVENNA. She makes mosaics with traditional and contemporary techniques and materials. CHAIR 14, one of her sculptural furniture, is in permanent exhibition at the INA(R)TTENDU ART GALLERY in AOSTA. Manager of the GARDENS project, she is the author of the subject inspired by DUCCIO DEMETRIO, on which MANUEL CHIEREGATO composes his music and on which VITTORIO GAZZERA is developing the script for GARDENS: A SPACE OPERA.

Born in PINEROLO (Turin) on 22nd August 1983, screenwriter and film director. His artistic research on the perception of reality is declined in feature and short films, television series and video installations. Born in MILAN on 6th March 1945, academic and essayist. Full Professor of Philosophy of Education and Theories and Practices of Narration at the UNIVERSITY OF MILAN BICOCCA, then Scientific Director of the National Research Center and Autobiographical Studies of the LIBERA UNIVERSITÀ DELL'AUTOBIOGRAFIA / FREE UNIVERSITY OF AUTOBIOGRAPHY, in Anghiari, which he founded in 1998 together with Saverio Tutino, and of ACCADEMIA DEL SILENZIO / ACADEMY OF SILENCE.
