NOTE ON THE MUSIC OF THE »GARDENS« PROJECT:
The music of »Gardens« is conceived not only as base for improvisation and meditation, but also as soundtrack for cinematographic works and audiobooks, for the development of cinematographic and theatrical scripts, of contemporary dance choreography, of reworkings of non-contemporary dances, of art installations of videos and / or of sounds and / or of lights, of exhibitions of performance art, of tableaux vivants, of gymnastic disciplines and of any form of performative art, that is, not only dance, music and theater, but also illusionism, mime, marionette and puppet theater and circus art.
Conceived in imitation of nature, the music of »Gardens« is like a river, always equal to itself but always changing, on whose banks to lie down without expecting anything.

MUSICAL FORM:
»Courtyard Garden«'s 128 albums featuring the »Frag Duo« are divided into 8 cycles of 16 albums each. This album is part of the first cycle and its form is called »2020 Edition«: it is based on the almost perfect numbers and the sum of their proper divisors.

NOTE ON THE »GARDENS« PROJECT:
Musical and then multimedia transposition project of DUCCIO DEMETRIO's 28 Symbolic Gardens from »Di che giardino sei? Conoscersi attraverso un simbolo / What's Your Garden? Self-knowledge through a Symbol«, in which the intimate relationship with nature becomes self-knowledge. Musical transposition realized with a first process, radicalized with musical pictography, of progressive reduction of scores of the past to the dot and the line; organized in »Books for Change«, which derive, by varying them, conception and denomination from the translation of the »I-Ching« by JOHN BLOFELD. Multimedia transposition that begins where the compositional process ends up revealing the bare structure and intrinsic beauty of the musical scores. Evocative appeal to technology among magical thoughts in the forest of PRALADRIT, which welcomes and informs a project, which is the daily exercise of a path aimed at the essential, which began with the literal renunciation by its main author of all unnecessary material goods and largely developed with obsolete technological means although in dialogue with AI.

Geometric regularity that defies the imagination, the courtyard garden is largely made of concrete. Poor in greenery and flowers, the flowerbeds in fake stone. The thread-like tree trunks seek the light beyond the roofs, which are under surveillance by the porter. It is the theater of first steps and first loves; the permitted area, beyond which it is forbidden to enter: too many dangers in the middle of traffic…
It is the garden of the kidults, who take refuge there, intimidated by what can happen beyond those protective walls, to play (condominium rules permitting), leaving out the din of the traffic of life. »He who is content with the least is the richest of all«, they think; and so they refrain from going too far. Or from leaving forever…

Born in 1992, she studied piano at the PAVIA Conservatory under the guidance of Maestro ANNA MARIA BORDIN. At the age of 19 she obtained the »I Level Academic Diploma in Piano« with full marks and honors and at the age of 22 the »II Level Degree in Interpretation« with Maestro ROBERTO PARUZZO. She attended numerous masterclasses in Italy and abroad with internationally renowned Maestros such as ANDREA LUCCHESINI, ANDREA TURINI, MARIA GRAZIA PETRALI, ROBERTO PARUZZO, KHNA KARACA, PAOLO PREVER and ANTONIO TARALLO. She also participates in some national and international competitions, including the CITY OF RACCONIGI, CITY OF PRATO, CITY OF CASTELLO and LUIGI GIULOTTO AWARD, achieving first and second prizes. In 2013 she also attended a training course of »Music in the Cradle«, learning the techniques of developing musical language in children aged between 0 and 3 years. She dedicates herself to concert activity both as a solo pianist and in instrumental formations and, in TURIN, she begins her career as a piano teacher, proposing classical and contemporary music repertoires. She also deepens the pop and rock language. She collaborates with numerous emerging artists and groups in TURIN and its province, including PERTURBAZIONE, CECILIA LASAGNO, THE SUNNY BOYS, KONESKIN and WASTE PIPES. In 2017 she formed the FRAG DUO with the saxophonist AGNESE M. GARUFI, "tenaciously convinced of the importance of contemporary music in today's artistic sphere", that in 2020 was selected for the EUROPEAN FESTIVAL OF SAXOPHONE.

Born in BOLZANO (ITALY) on Monday, the 5th June 1978, and engaged in musical composition since the early 1990s, from 2017 to 2020 he composed and published some hundred hours of music as part of »Gardens«, a multimedia project aimed at every artist and scientist, inspired by »Di che giardino sei? Conoscersi attraverso un simbolo / What's Your Garden? Self-knowledge through a Symbol«, a 2000 book by DUCCIO DEMETRIO. This project has recently completed the process of incorporating all his previous projects such as »Drafts«, »Cathedrals«, »Great Waters«, »Actus Spei - Puppenspiel« and »Ὁ Αφροδίτας Κάπος / The Garden of Aphrodite«, a non-narrative multilingual script, written in 1996, revised in 2007 and 2008 and returned to be the subject of in-depth study from 2020, divided into 13 interdependent dadaistic video artworks, characterized by experimentalism and multiple figurative, literary and cinematographic references. Much of his musical repertoire is still unpublished. He collaborates with Italian artists - such as VITTORIO GAZZERA (video artist), NADIA PROUSCH (recorder player), MARA PALUMBO (organist), ANGELO TURCHI and AGNESE M. GARUFI (saxophonists), GUIDO PICARIELLO and FRANCESCA CHIOFALO (pianists) and ELISABETTA TAGLIATI (soprano) - and with other artists from around the world. Born in MILAN (ITALY) on 6th March 1945, academic and essayist. Full Professor of Philosophy of Education and Theories and Practices of Narration at the »Università degli Studi di MILANO BICOCCA / University of MILAN BICOCCA«, then Scientific Director of the »National Research Center and Autobiographical Studies« of the »LUB - Libera università dell'autobiografia / Free University of Autobiography«, in ANGHIARI, which he founded in 1998 together with SAVERIO TUTINO, and of »Accademia del Silenzio / Academy of Silence«.

Born in PINEROLO (ITALY) on 22nd August 1983, screenwriter, cartoonist, open to expressive forms such as painting and music, author of the comic strip »Gioventù Ustionata / Scalded Youth« and founder and drummer of a rock group.
